Privacy Policy

Learndle collects no data. None.

That is the whole policy, really. This page exists because every app on the App Store needs one, and because you deserve to know exactly where your streak lives. The longer answer is below, and it stays just as short.

What stays on your device

Everything Learndle knows about you sits on your phone, your iPad, or your watch, and goes nowhere else:

  • Which cases you have played, whether you solved them, and how many guesses it took
  • Your current streak, your best streak, and any streak freezes you have earned
  • Your review queue, so the concepts you missed come back at the right moment
  • Your settings: reminder time, theme, sound, and hard mode
  • Your first name, if you decide to add one

Your first name is entirely optional and the app plays exactly the same without it. It is used for one thing only: putting your name on a share card you chose to make.

Analytics, tracking, and ads

There are none. No analytics, no crash reporting, no usage tracking, no advertising identifiers, no third party code of any kind. Nobody is counting how often you open Learndle, including us.

There is no account, no sign in, and no password. Learndle has never asked for your email and it never will.

Your Apple Watch

If you install the watch app, your streak and today's result travel from your iPhone to your watch over Apple's device to device connection. That is a conversation between two things you own. It does not pass through us.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, Learndle tells Apple when you unlock an achievement so your badges show up there. Apple handles that under Apple's own privacy policy. If you are not signed in, nothing is reported and the app carries on quite happily.

Sharing is always your call

Learndle can make two things you might want to send someone:

  • A result card, an image of how your day went. It never gives away the answer. If you added your first name, it appears there.
  • A challenge link, carrying the case you played, your score, and your first name if you added one.

Neither happens on its own. Nothing leaves until you tap Share and pick where it goes. From that moment it belongs to whichever app you sent it through, and that app's privacy policy takes over.

Notifications

Turn on the daily nudge and Learndle schedules it locally, on your device. No push server is involved, and we have no idea whether you opened it or ignored it.

Spotlight search

Learndle adds its glossary of L&D concepts to your device's Spotlight index so you can find them from your Home Screen. That index never leaves your device.

Children

Learndle is written for people who build learning for a living. It does not knowingly collect anything from children.

Deleting everything

Settings has a Reset progress option that permanently wipes your history, streaks, and review queue. Deleting the app takes everything else with it, your name and settings included. There is no copy anywhere else, because there was never a copy anywhere else.

If this ever changes, the new version lands on this page with a fresh date at the top.
